Two Bar D Quarter Horses

Customer Testimonials:

Hank was delivered to our ranch by breeder Don Dush as a long yearling. He wasn't halter broke but he was very kind. After being halter and dragging a rope for 3 days I picked up the rope and walk off and he followed and has never fought rope. Riding Hank was the same way, I saddle him, wormed him up in the round pen, climb on and went to riding. He has never bucked. What a horse. Since then I have ridden him with the Payne County Mounted Patrol. He carries the flag, he has worked around sirens and red lights. He can be ridden by children and he's only 3 years old. I have broke a lot of horses, and this guy is one of the nicest, kindest horses I've ever been around.
Thank you Don for allowing me to own Hank.

The little story poem below was written by Nathan Martin as a tribute to Don and his horse operation.
We know you will enjoy!  Thanks Nathan!
There are times when pictures simply tell the best story!  The following two collages give a big testimony to the ability and work horse that Buckeye Bartender is.  He spent some days with Ryley Renner on the ranch near Ericson helping out in that early calving season.  What a valuable guy Bart is.  Now he is home and ready for his next job...mares!

February 9, 2014: Sold the red roan colt [#10 on the 2013 Foal Page] to Baldo Monasterio of Wolfe Cattle Company.  Baldo is a repeat customer who is more than satisfied with the quality of horses he has purchased from us here at Two Bar D Quarter Horses.  We are thrilled for this colt to be placed in such capable hands who will know how to bring out the best in him on all levels.  He has huge potential and his looks will always turn your head.  Watch for some updated photos coming in the spring as the training progresses.  Thanks Baldo for your vote of confindence in our program.  Be sure and stop in or check here for our 2014 crop of babies.
After getting to know Courtney, I was very  impressed with the breeding program  that
the Dush family had set-up.  When we were looking for another prospect for a future 4-H
horse I contacted Don to see what prospects he had.  We purchased  a yearling filly
that was not halter broke.   We  brought her home and within two days my 3 year  old
was playing with Que as if she was halter broke for months.   We are very impressed
with this young filly and cannot wait for her future.

Bartenders Silkwood [pictured to the right] is a 2010 buckskin filly.
She is AQHA and FQHR registered.  We purchased her from Two Bar D Quarter Horses as a long weanling.
We showed her as a 2 year old in the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry (FQHR) halter class for 2 & 3 year old mares.  She won first place in her class.  We also showed her in the halter class at the Pottawatomie County Fair here in Shawnee, OK.  She won her class and was placed as the Reserve Grand Champion Mare.
We raise and sell American Quarter Horses.  We stand a Zan Parr Bar bred stallion and have mares with bloodlines that include Colonel Freckles, Jessie James, Doc’s Remedy, and Dash for Cash.  Feel free to contact us for any info on this filly or anything else.

In 2011 I bought 3 yearling colts from Don. These colts were easy to halter break &

eager to show their natural abilities & good cow sense. At branding time, in
Ainsworth,NE, the cowboys here were impressed with how well these horses preformed. I plan on being a steady customer of TWO BAR D . I recently purchased a nice young filly.
horses nice people.

After being contacted by Don from Two Bar D Quarter Horses and having a tour of their herd stock, I found some amazing animals!  I got a first hand look at what this operation has to offer when photo shooting all their mares, babies, and stallions for this web site. As an avid APHA horse owner and standing two stallions ourselves, I must say I found their herd second to none.  I am so impressed by what they are doing and how they have a plan to produce top quality ranch horses and indeed they are doing so!  I can without a doubt sing their praises in the quality of ranch horses they are raising.  Taking a trip to their ranch would be time well spent and you certainly may come home with a new pony.
Thanks Don & Terri!
